I will certainly recommend this movie to all sci-fi fans. The movie does not get enough credit/publicity because it is not popluated with a well known cast or not directed by a well known person. But I am sure that people will like this movie. The price (Rs. 524) that I paid is also great and not many (good) titles are available at this point.

A lot of movies presently available on Blu-Ray aren't visually breath-taking. District 9 is. The movie itself is extraordinary in it's own right, both original and almost pragmatic. I'd seen the movie before but not on an HDTV and this Blu-Ray blew me away. Sure, Inception was amazing, but somehow this felt much clearer and overall 'brighter'. The special effects are simply one of the best, and the film is a political and human propaganda, whether or not it wanted to be.

One of the best science fiction movies of recent times. A thought-provoking, role-swapping, thrilling account of an alien spaceship stranded on Earth. Set in Johannesburg, a most unusual and most interesting setting for a science fiction movie. Good performance by the lead character, although the acting isn't necessarily the strong point. The theme, setting, denouement and message of the movie are unique and stand out in a world of "me too" science fiction movies. Must-watch!
