Domestic abuse can often be extremely difficult to identify because of its complicated and sometimes disguised nature. Additionally, victims and society at large have accepted it for very long as normal and believe nothing can be done about it. This leads to denial of the issue, which is the toughest hurdle to breaking free and building a better life. This book, written in a simple readable style, aims at explaining and breaking down the mechanism of domestic abuse, in order to help the victim and her support system overcome denial. The book is inspired by Lundy Bancroft’s work where abuse is explained in a way that can be understood by the victim easily.
