The best ever Indian road Trip

Having read all the other books on pan India motorcycle tours, PG Tenzing's book is hands down, the best ever written on the topic.
It has a certain feel about the character of the person being shaped as he travels more and most importantly as he meets new people and old friends on the way.
The other popular book written by Ajit Harisinghani is even more boring than the most boring journey you might have taken, without any surprises on the way, or the quirkiness of the general Indian junta. ...

Preparation for the rode trip around motherland

Eversince "The Motorcycle Diaries" I always wanted to go on a road trip. This book has been an introduction on Indian conditions. The romanticism for such an endavour has increased. It was a great attempt by a good soul. RIP. The connection to spirituality and humor in this book kept me reading. This is not a literary extravaganza. It is written by heart and intent.

Amazing Read

The author has written a great description on his expedition (or whatever it may be called). He has a great sense of humor and a sense of writing which grips the reader to want more. The books is really un-putdownable. And the best part is his deep spiritual insights in combination with the everyday things happening with him.

adventure freak and daring person

well the book deals with the intricacies of bureaucratic life n babudom, together with the zeal to connect oneself with god through "thamzi".i read the book in 2009 itself n then it had already created ripples amongst all sections of readers...the story was not the typical stereotype but a fresh and adventure filled...it exemplifies the buddhism aspect in sikkim which is quite obvious, due to his roots...a must read for any fun loving individual

Just OK

Nothing great about this book, it was plain OK. To be honest, I struggled to complete reading it. Yes there are anecdotes but those were not good enough for me to remain glued.
I ideally would have preferred giving it a miss.
