This is a story set in the \'50s when remarriages were looked down. Here Triveni sketches the story of a young widow who is encouraged to remarry and a young lawyer comes forward to tie the knot. But she is haunted by the mythological stories, told by her grandmother, another widow, of pious woman who treated their husbands as virtual gods. Is remarriage a sin? Will it not be a betrayal of the first husband? She feels guilty and starts sleep walking but is finally cured by a clinical psychologist.
