The silent afternoon in the fishing village of Cassardis is shattered as a painful scream pierces through. A dragon that was believed to be extinct for many years has reappeared and it is after something that you have. If you think you can fight against the dragon and win, think again. The mystical being will have you in awe as it swoops down to claw your heart out, literally, in the game. Dragon's Dogma tells a story about survival, bonding with strangers and fighting for something that you truly believe in.

The game is targeted towards hard-core and casual gamers who like playing fantasy games. Dragon's Dogma is an open world action-adventure survival horror game that packs in many new features to keep you entertained for hours. The game DVD is available for the PS3 gaming console and carries a Mature rating from ESRB.

    Synopsis and Features

After getting your heart stolen by an ancient dragon, you are reborn as Arisen. As soon as you open your eyes you discover you are not the same as you were before. You realize that you can understand the dragon’s language and that you are ready to do anything and everything to get your heart back. Aiding in your cause are humanoids known as pawns. You can give them commands, making the pawns do whatever you want them to do. With their help you are hell-bent on taking down the dragon. The only question is can you do it in time?

Developed and published by Capcom, Dragon's Dogma blends in elements of puzzle-solving and combat with finesse. You begin your single-player campaign by selecting a class. There is a wide variety of classes available to choose from such as Fighter, Warrior, Strider, Ranger, Assassin, Mage, Sorcerer and Magic Archer, Mystic Knight. You have to choose your class very carefully as each class has unique powers. Even the gameplay elements change significantly for each class, giving the game tremendous replay value.

Customization finds a new meaning in Dragon’s Dogma as you can not only customize your looks, but also one of your pawns'. You can add skills and buy various upgrades for the pawn, just like you can for yourself. Other than this one permanent pawn, you can also enrol 2 more pawns and dismiss them according to your objectives. The additional customization options give you more freedom than any other games in this genre.

The one thing you have to constantly keep under notice is your rift points. These are very essential if you are thinking of hiring powerful pawns. Travelling with pawns is interesting as they keep asking you questions and are very curious. The constant chatter between them keeps you entertained throughout the game.

The boss battles in the game are fun to play as you get to slay gigantic bosses. Every once in a while the pawns will come to your assistance by giving you helpful tips on how to kill the demons. The different enemies in the game range from chimeras, griffons and many others. The animations in the game are designed with expert precision and are smooth flowing throughout the game. This is very helpful when you are fighting an enemy as you can see how much your sword hurts him and target his weak points to easily assassinate him.

The combat in the game is especially rewarding as it is intense and filled with tension. Each victory has to be earned with smart thinking and brilliant strategies. Sometimes the fights can get frustrating, but they are never boring as there are plenty of enemies to kill. You can embark on many quests other than the main missions. The quests are exciting to play as they range from killing wolves to chasing bandits and many others.

    An amazingly innovative RPG.

1)Dragon's Dogma is a wonderful and very innovative RPG.
2)The game though has minimal storyline has a very nice and perfectly carved world with the best monsters to slay you will ever find.
3)The game world is of medium size and not as big as Skyrim which to me is very welcome as it becomes more memorable and manageable. It lacks fast travel big time in first half of the game.
4)The beasts and monsters are the highlights of this game and different fighting techniques like scaling the monster ...

    Superb Game

Must buy, combat is a highlight, just dont go in expecting Skyrim this game is a different cup of tea. You would not expect a JRPG to have decent real time combat, but this game has addictive combat. Nothing better than scaling a giant dragon to inflict the killing blow.

1.u cant fast travel.ie, u have to walk to most of the destinations. there is lot of walking
2.the combat is really difficult sometimes.
3.towards the end, the game enters the difficulty mode automatically & is really difficult.

Hell yeah!!! Hack and Slash at it's peak!

This game has done justice to the genre of two
    -Action Role-playing &
    -Hack and Slash
It's an ancient myth. You have a huge map to explore filled with collectibles and of-course you need to be patient enough to walk all around due to no existence of a horse(but you still have a magic stone).
Talking about foes, mostly monsters and really weird creatures. You'll have to learn the tactics in due course of time to face them or else there is no use in whacking around with your weapon .
    A strong...

    Worth playing at least once

This is a fantastic game overall. Great combat and monster designs. Beautiful open world with amazing lighting effects during the day and pitch dark at night, to give it a survival horror feel. Bosses roam around the open world which can make the game incredibly challenging at first. Unfortunately after about 20 hours of gaming, you can pretty much 1 shot most enemies including bosses. This is where the game goes downhill, as you are left traversing the same areas and fighting the same monste...
