Dr. Samanta is now working as an Associate Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, Mugberia Gangadhar Mahavidyalaya, Bhupatinagar, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, India. He obtained his B.Sc. degree from Midnapore College and M.Sc. degree with organic chemistry specialization from the Department of Chemistry & Chemical Technology, Vidyasagar University, Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, India. He did his research work in the Materials Science Centre, IIT, Kharagpur under the co-supervision of Prof. Ajit Kumar Banthia during the period 2002-2007 and received Ph.D. degree from Vidyasagar University in 2008.
