Ei To Aami also has sections where the author describes his impressions while receiving the National Award, the initial experiences of his music career, and notes about some overseas trips that he took in the recent past.

About Rupam Islam
Rupam Islam is a renowned National Film Award winner, composer, playback singer, and the front man of a Bengali rock band called Fossils.
Being a lyricist and composer, Rupam also excels in literary fields. Apart from Ei To Aami, he has written two other books called Epitaph and Rupam On The Rocks.
Born into a family of acclaimed singers, Rupam performed his first stage show when he was only four years old. His musical journey also includes his performances for All India Radio and the National channel Doordarshan, as a child artist. He has performed live in many well-known auditoriums in Kolkata. From 1998, Rupam has been the lead singer, lyricist, and manager of a Bengali rock band called Fossils, which became quite popular within the first five years of its formation. He has also sung for as many as thirty Bengali and Hindi feature films. Between 2009 and 2011, popular Bengali films like Benche Thakar Gaan and Autograph helped him bag several awards for playback singing. With the National Award that highlighted his career and his achievements in the field of music, he is now a celebrated music director of leading Hindi and Bengali movies. Some of his popular Hindi tracks are “Jannat jahaan” for the film Jannat, and “Dil Kare” for the film All the Best.
