Theirs was an unusual love story. Shabnam the dancing girl, whose melodious voice and sensuous dances drove the males mad with desire and Akash the poet. Shabnam had never met Akash, but she loved him for his poetry. When they met it was love at first sight. The madame of the house of ill repute, where shabnam danced had other ideas. She did not want to see her money-spinner running away with a poet. She sold her off. Shabnam had to do something drastic to escape a horrendous fate.
