    One of the best books in world for electrical machines.& It's low price makes it better. Do not use it initially. First get some basic knowledge from other books then only read it. Not good for fresh reading.

    The book is very good for a first course in electrical machines.It has got a lots of solved numericals ,graphs etc to support the text.Every chapter has large number of standard questions in the end.Also a collection of MCQs are there at the end of the book from each chapter from competitive exams.Though the topic of three phase transformer is missing but still the book is good for a second year EE undergrad.

    Well if you wanna Learn this subject and if you have Patience, this is the best book you can get.
    But the only problem is that the topic 3 phase transformer is not described and explained here quite well!
