Required Class Reading
There are lots of exercises, many of them quite illuminating. Some are computational, some call for proofs, some require the production of examples, and others ask the student to think critically about something that they’ve just read. The author’s writing style is clear and easy to follow, but, more than that, it is exceptionally well-motivated and contains some useful pedagogical ideas.This book does a lot of things right. It is highly recommended.

Best in the market!
This book is good for beginners in discrete mathematics and after learning from this book one can easily move to books with more content about each concept like Kenneth Rosen's handbook of discrete mathematics.

Poor presentation
Very poor presentation of concepts. Poor paper quality. Better book is Kenneth H. Rosen's Discrete mathematics and applications. This one by Liu is not recommended.
