Unputdownable - You can't get bored reading this emotional roller coaster

I am a non-reader but took this book on advice of an acquaintance. I am a non-reader because I normally tend to get bored reading a single story and generally fall asleep. But Emoticons had ten different stories and had an awesome cover that instantly gets you interested, which is why I started reading it. And once I started reading it, it was unputdownable.

Hats off to Abhishek Chandra who has beautifully captured the feelings of a woman in the story "Trust/Ego = Guilt", even though he is ...

      Refreshing

Emoticons is like the quintessential Indian curry. Different flavors provided by different stories. Most of books by first timers revolve around love stories but this one is an exception. Different human emotions are captured through stories. The characters are drawn from life and are mostly grey (Guilt, Dilemma, Thrill, Betrayal, Anger, Pity, Greed and Envy) and sometimes white (Sacrifice, Gratitude).

The stories are contemporary and leave an impact. The readers targeted are primarily yout...

      Varied emotions

Emoticons is the book for people like me..short stories that can be accommodated in between work. Got my order last week. The second story on Sacrifice builds on you and grips you completely. I was choked with emotions and it was a splendid effort for a first time writer. I took time to regain the composure and make myself believe that it was a story afterall!

Stories that have a boy and a girl generally have the boy making mistakes. The stories in this book on Betrayal and Guilt turn the t...

Ten Awesome stories mixed with blend of Emotions and made to perfection!

I got down to reading after a real long time and what a book to return with. Emoticons is a novelty in the way it captures the imagination of the reader. The stories deal with normal human emotions. There is nothing larger than life (except for the story Kanja and The Gift) about the stories. The characters are all believable and I could imagine myself in their positions at times. The mix of stories is quite eclectic and caters to a wide group of readers. So you can pick and choose and not en...

      Story telling at its best

Nice stories packaged in this refreshing title. Good for a one time read. I have almost become an Eduwiser promoter after writing so many good things about their books.

      Average

I liked only ONE story (out of TEN) . "Labyrinth" book of short stories is way better than this one. Liked only Gift :Gratitude story , story on greed was good but not great. Rest of the stories were average.
