There is a class of people in our society, attached with black market. There are two parts inside them. There is a class of black marketeers who are swindling the state overnight by evading taxes. There is another class who are also tax evading the state, but they are doing this sin for only a handful of rice. Yet in the course of life they are humiliated, insulted and burdened with every step of the way. Who is responsible for the black market? Not just them, nor our social system. There is nothing that can be avoided from this guilt. On the one hand, the rich are building up a mountain of money and, the poor are not getting the benefits. If the rich had stood by them a little, maybe they would not have done this unethical thing. The novel depicts a life of these deprived, humiliated people.
