Great Movies, not so great DVD...

The DVDs lack special features and the La Dolce Vita DVD has wrong aspect ratio set by default. The movies themselves are in reasonable quality.
But at such attractive price it's a fair bargain and I'd recommend anyone to buy it.

Must-watch films for cinephiles

Federico Fellini is one of the most revered filmmakers ever. He often explored the emptiness of human mind and other existential issues through his films. 8 1/2 and La Dolce Vita are two of his most celebrated films. 8 1/2 is a unique blend of the protagonist's memories, dreams and reality as he stuggles to overcome his director's block. La Dolce Vita is a stunning film about a journalist who's trying to find out where he belongs.
Must-watch films these. And at Rs.349, it's a steal. Go for it.

fantastico!!

Both the movies were very enjoyable. The subtitles helped. La Dolcve Vita was very free spirited. The sequences that I liked the most were the one with Sylvia and the one with Marcello's 'Papa'. And for 8 1/2, the dream sequences were especially nice. Guido's personal struggles were cleverly portrayed. Strongly recommended.
