Why is there a shipping charge for this item?

Sellers with Flipkart Assured waive off the delivery charge for Orders over Rs 500. For Orders under Rs 500, a nominal delivery charge is added per item.

Sellers without Flipkart Assured may or may not add a delivery charge to your Order. This is subject to Seller discretion.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Sellers generally procure and ship the items within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays.

Estimated delivery time depends on the following factors:

      • The Seller offering the product
      • Product's availability with the Seller
      • The destination to which you want the order shipped to and the Seller's location

Why does the delivery date not correspond to the delivery timeline of X-Y business days?

It is possible that the Seller or our courier partners observe a holiday between the day you placed your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored in to the delivery dates.

The item is popular and is sold out. You can however 'book' an order for the product and it will be shipped according to the timelines mentioned by the Seller.

Why does the estimated delivery time vary for each seller?

Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time-to-deliver to your location.

Please enter your default pin code on the product page to know more accurate delivery times on the product page itself.

Seller does not/cannot ship to my area. Why?

Enter your pincode on the product page to know whether the product can be delivered to your location.

If you haven't provided your pincode until the checkout stage, the pincode in your last used shipping address will be used to check for serviceability.

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on:

      • Whether the Seller actually ships to your location
      • Legal restrictions, if any, in shipping particular products to your location
      • The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

At times Sellers prefer not to ship to certain locations. This is entirely at their discretion.

The first book of the Fifty Shades series, Fifty Shades Of Grey is a bestselling romance novel by E. L. James, and was first published in 2011.

    Summary Of The Book

The protagonist of this book is a young, naive college student of twenty one years named Anastasia Steele. Anastasia acquiesces to interview a 27 year old business magnate named Christian Grey in lieu of her ill roommate and best friend, Katharine Kavanaugh. What she doesn’t count on, however, is how attracted yet intimidated she is by him. She nervously rushes through the interview and then pushes all thoughts of him to the back of her mind. She was counting on the fact that their paths might never cross again.

Christian Grey, in the meantime, is equally taken in by the innocent Anastasia. A man with a fervent need to be in control, he is constantly battling his inner demons. He visits her at her part-time job and agrees to do a photo shoot to accompany the article Kate was writing on him. At the photoshoot, he asks her out for coffee, and the process of the pair getting acquainted with each other begins. However, Christian does not plan on indulging in a typical relationship. He presents Anastasia with a full non-disclosure statement that she must sign in order to continue seeing him. The contract contains clauses about a purely physical, non-romantic, dominant/submissive relationship. Anastasia, initially taken aback, is intrigued nonetheless and decides to give it a shot.

Fifty Shades Of Grey proceeds with a racy and fast-paced story thereafter, as the couple try to work past their obvious incompatibility. Intended for mature readers, it delves into the carnal practises of bondage and dominance. The novel topped bestseller lists across the globe, and has sold over ninety million copies worldwide. It has also been translated into over fifty two languages, and is being adapted into a film which is scheduled to release in early 2015.

    Fifty Shades of Cr@p

This book has nothing redeeming about it. Not Grammar, not Plot, and certainly not it's so called selling point-Erotica.
Reading it gave me a headache.
The characters are badly formed. In fact, the characters aren't the author's creation at all. She took another author's characters and put them into her badly written story. If you've read Twilight, you'll see the similarities. But let me tell you, Twilight was much better in comparison, by a long long way. I know for sure that this author wro...

    50 pages of blah!

First of all, I'd seriously judge someone I saw reading this book. Not because of the theme it is supposedly touching on but because of the lack of any depth and the distasteful, poorly written "scenes" in the book. Don't kid yourself, you're just reading low grade porn!

I just got to about 50 pages, skimmed through the rest and decided this wasn't worth my time. I mean, this book is SOOO bad that even the fifty pages i read, mid-way I started skipping the BORING descriptions and just readi...

    A teenager's fantasy..

I had high expectations from this book,as it featured in the bestseller list. But after reading through first fifty pages or so,it seemed nothing but a teenager's fantasy about her dream man.

Now,the sex scenes.Well, they become so unbelievable that it becomes more laughable than erotic. He simply touches her and she orgasms. It seems that she's climaxing on every page.

Even the writing is monotonous and repetitive. There is more than frequent use of "geez","shades of" etc.

    Well,many of you m...

The Most BS book you will ever read !

It just goes on and on... after a point of time your head would start paining and you'll be still 200 pages short for the "novel" to finish. The characters of this book are as shallow as the puddles on an Indian road. Almost no attention has been paid to develop these characters. As a result, the we get a book sans any literary flavor. But yes, the author has managed to put all her sex fantasies in more then 300 pages of the 500 pages book. Sell this as one of the "penthouse letters" and i'll...

Mills and Boons punched with Penthouse Letters- tasty but not heady

Fifty Shades of Grey and its two sequels has become famous for its unconventional contents and viral marketing. E.L.James has hit the jackpot. But I have doubts if there is anything more achieved through these books. It is essentially a Mills & Boons with adult content of Penthouse letters, perhaps with a little more detailing of psyche and less graphical detailing of those acts. BDSM is a less known word, which kindles more curiosity, and people may not mind reading it once for its lucid nar...

    Pathetic work

This is biggest surprise of my life so far. How did this pathetic work of EL James become a worldwide best seller? I'm short of words to describe the filthy quality of literature that has been dished out in the form of Fifty Shades. Personally I could not go beyond the first 80-100 pages. It not only a bad/weak story but it also lack creativity and imagination. I'm still wondering as to what did people love so much about this novel or is it just an example of smart/ intelligent marketing?...

Huge Marketing on a Bad book

Really surprised how this book became a bestseller.Maybe good marketing gimmicks. It is just porn. Could not complete the series. The author is obsessed with sex . She started writing a fairy tale novel, ended up writing just bad porn. The continuous and detailed explanations of the scenes make you feel sick

    Awesome read

Haven't read a book like this in a long time. It's much more than just kinky stuff. I bought the whole series and I'm in the middle of the second one now. The first book lacks romance but the next on makes up for it.

    Absolute rubbish

This is probably one of the worst books I have tried and failed reading! The writing is atrocious- even Mills and Boon gets it better. I didn't wait to discover if there was a story/plot, instead after skimming through 40 odd pages, decided to give up!
