Fighting to the End - The Pakistan Army’s Way of War, compiled by C. Christine Fair, is an impassionate account of the domination of Pakistan’s army over its country for most of the 66 years.
Summary of the Book
Pakistan’s army has not only locked up its own land in its control, but has also waged wars and disturbed India’s peace policies time and again. The constant political conflict over Kashmir has led to wars in 1947, 1965 and 1999. Although they have failed to win any of the wars, they have still sustained proxy wars and militant attacks in Kashmir. This book patiently analyses all those events that have occurred since Pakistan’s origin, and attempts to offer a practical answer, which finds its roots in the strategic culture of the Pakistan army. Fighting to the End - The Pakistan Army’s Way of War is a must-read for Political Science students as well as anyone who wishes to know more about persisting political issues caused by Pakistan’s army.
