A. C. Kermode was a distinguished ex-Air Vice Marshal, RAF officer, Education Officer and author. He is known for his bestselling books and his stellar service record. A. C. Kermode has also written Mechanics of Flight, The Aeroplane Structure and Hydrofoils.

Kermode served as a Civilian Instructor, and technical observer at RAE Farnborough Experimental flying, Senior Education Officer and Science Tutor with the RAF.
