  • Description

The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak is here to elucidate the fact that all you need is love. It brings the idea of love for humanity into the forefront in a world that is devoid of spiritualism and faith. This powerful novel not only compares two different generations, but it also brings together two centuries to drive home the fact that the world truly needs only one solution for all its problems - love.

    About the Novel

No matter the nature of the problem - cosmic, national, regional, or personal, this novel states that love has the power to save humanity from religious bigotry and intolerance of beliefs and ideas. The Forty Rules of Love is here to remind you that not all is lost in the world. It’s here to help you think more about this world and also help you fall in love with the world of Sufism.

A must read for anyone who has known and wants to know love

A beautifully written novel with simple language and yet powerful ideas and feelings. Gives a good introduction to Rumi, the Sufi mystic and his teacher and companion Shams of Tabriz at the same time, parallely running a story about a woman in search of love to fill the void in her life. Quotations and the "Forty rules" of love introduced throughout the story are worth reading again and again. The book gave me a good introduction to Islam, the Qur'an and Rumi, whose poetry I am going to read ...

    Must buy!

The book came with a plastic cover and that's a pretty good thing I guess in this Covid pandemic. Now coming to the novel, an extremely good one enriched in positivity and two stories drawing a connection between the past and present. No doubt, it's a worldwide bestseller.
