Good book but
I read this book completely twice,good book indeed,but if you are preparing for UPSC or some other exam,don't use this book as a first book for defense in history.
It has less facts,indeed facts which could be asked directly in exam.Its simply like a story.for preparation go for :-

A Brief History of Modern India by Rajiv Ahir
any one book could be followed.

Great book
Great book to read if you want to know our freedom struggle and participation of the persons from 1850 till 1947. I got this book after 3 days of my order. Really nice book to read.
