    Summary of the Book

Saraswati’s Secret River will be a delightful read for kids. The story is about the missing River Saraswati and the author beautifully relates it to the missing elements of the present day education system in our country. Mrs. Sivakami, the principal of Madame Mira High School, is surprised to find Goddess Saraswati wandering the corridors of her school. The goddess is in search of a missing river! In order to show the principal the ancient river which no longer exists and what exactly happened to it, Saraswati puts Mrs. Sivakami on the back of the Hansa and off they go exploring. • Dr Devdutt Pattanaik studied medicine but decided he loves telling stories better. He feels stories are like Eclair sweets; if you chew long enough, you get a burst of chocolate that is locked inside. So rather than working as a doctor, he decided to write and tell ancient Indian stories and reveal the idea-chocolate locked within them. He believes these stories are the gifts of our ancestors. He has been doing this for a long time and even uses the wisdom of these stories to help businesses. He is currently Chief Belief Officer of Future Group. To know more visit www.devdutt.com

A book for Nursery Story Telling and for Nursery Teachers

I ordered this book from flipkart for my mother as she is fond of religious relics and particularly from Devdutt Pattnaik .
However it was a funny experience when we received this kids stuff . Finally it was kept for my kid of 2 years

I would encourage Flipkart to maintain category and proper description of books in the store

    Very good book

Very good book, which my child has liked after reading & make her understand the story. It is easy to understand and letters are bold and clear where the child does not get the eyes strained. Although visual presentation is less, i.e. pictures, it enables the reader to visualize themselves which is essential for beginners.
