one of the best books on the subject which REALLY explains the concepts,laws and principles through EASY TO GRASP language...best for amateurs who are about to discover the fantastic world of thermodynamics...but the book has very few solved examples...that can be taken care of by books like thermal engg by r k rajput...to put in simple words,this book of Prof. Sonntag is worth a buy for anyone concerned with thermodynamics(classical approach)

This is one of the best books on Thermodynamics i have come across . The theory and especially the examples in this textbook are very typical and very challenging .Best book for people preparing for GATE / IES .

Book print is not clear

The contents of the book is not available in the description at flipkart. The point that attracted me was the name of the chapters. They are Entropy equation for control volume, Entropy for a control mass, That is quite brilliant interpretation. So that is what we have to study from it, but it is difficult to do because the explanations are not very clear, and they are too long. That is my first impression.

If you want introduction to thermodynamics in chemical engineering i would definitely suggest this book!
