As I see, there are two differences between a real Kaleidoscope and this one
1. Shiny paper instead of a glass mirror
2. Colorful pattern paper instead of colorful and moving objects

This product is marked 5+. I think that is why they did not put glass in it. But the shiny paper greatly reduces the effect seen in a real kaleidoscope.

Here are some pros:
- All the spare parts can be stored inside the kaleidoscope itself!!! There are provisions to fit the disks, spare glass, toothed wheels...

Not for little kids. It is not a kaleidoscope straight out of the box. When you open it you find parts of a toy which you need to assemble. With a monochrome disc and some parts with which you can create a some rotating discs. However when you assemble them together it does not really create a good kaleidoscope. So making it is fun if you are into assembling things but the end result not great. I would rather have a proper kaleidoscope with little glass bits.

Bought this in a sale for my neice, but let me tell you, it does not even come close to a Kaleidoscope you will expect. I bought it just because it is made by Funskool which is a good brand for kids toys. But I am utterly disappointed in the toy.
Assembling the toy itself is a HUGE task. Even if you do succeed in assembling it, the final output is not even 5% of what an actual kaleidoscope looks like.
Tried all the various combinations for the toy, but no use.

The triangular glass provided in the pack is not actually made of glass... Made of some kind of plastic reflectors... And the pattern formed are not clear and not bright... And a very complex method to install...

I have used this as a child. It was a simple Toy. Just rotate before your eyes and various pattern made out of broken bangles and their reflection would emerge before your eyes. This Toy is not for Kids and the product needs assembly which is a tall order for a kid. Suggest that You withdraw this product as it would only bring bad name to Flipkart. It was my mistake that I did not read the review before placing the order.

3D effect as given in the leaflet of the product was not visible in the product.The product was replaced by the flip-kart but new one still has the same problem. The rep of flip-karft who itself verify that fact suggested to take another product with same rage. Though the response of flip kart was found to be excellent but the product was not as per the standard mentioned on the specification.
