I heard of the album through online channels that this movie was going to the Cannes. Seeing raw topics such as this movie really fills us with the hope of the future of contemporary Indian cinema.
And what about the music? well if someone understands Bihar, and what it USED to be and what it can be will definitely understand that this music compilation (i call it compilation - since it is composed of the most lovely textures of styles that span the state rather than being just circumstantia...

In the present day and age when mostly the music directors feed the appetite of a listener with constant below average music, in comes the album that stays true to the geographical backdrop of the film!

A refreshingly different soundtrack from a very good film. Not sure how accessible this album will be but it certainly trumps a lot of the rubbish out there today. Ironically, the track that everyone seems to talk about after seeing the film, ''Hunter'', is my least favourite on the package. There are a few fillers on the album that sound good in the film but less so without the accompanying visuals, but it's the folk oriented tracks which really standout for me.
