there is available only 2 or 3 books of different publications, i found this book more appropriate. arihant publication has maintained its name although it requires some improvement also but this time it seems enough to sharpen the tools for gate exam.

This is not a good book because content is not relevant When you see the content, you will be very happy, but in theory part main concept are missing.
This book has many misprints which is very annoying and confusing. A serious reader would have to cross check things every now and then, leading to unnecessary waste of time. Time is what you don't have. Practice exercises hardly contain new questions . There are mostly gate questions of previous papers. Questions which are not tagged as GATE q...

This book contains the complete subject matter in a very precise way and strictly according to what is required for the exam....very few mistakes are there but those will be corrected as this was the first edition.... i bet u'll surely be among top rankers in GATE if u read this book thoroughly....don't follow other comments about the book....this is the best book !!!!

Agree with u Mr. Pankaj Gulati.......... the book is no doubt bulky in size but it does not carry weightage as per GATE examination. i would not suggest anybody to go for it.... instead focus on your b.tech books.............

Sheer joke , lot of misprints and errors are uncountable, no connection amongst theory portion, flow totally missing, +1/+2 type of product, maybe because Arihant carries background from that segment, does not meet GATE requirements, questions are copied , no self made one, effort totally lacking. GATE solutions are also not proper.

If you really want to crack GATE follow book by TATA McGRAW HILL. Being pioneers in Engg Books , they have retained the reputation.

It is a good book(Not excellent).Questions and answers are very good.I bought it from infibeam(35% off).It contains solved papers of 2011 & 2012.Also a good review about gate exam.Some of the theory part is not upto the mark.

examples and short exercise for each chapter are sufficient for gate exam.almost the whole syllabus of gate has been covered in this book , few topics are not explained broadly but most of the topics have been explained in easy language.As a guide it is good.
