Dr. A. K. Verma passed M.Sc. from the Department of Life Sciences, Dibrugarh University, Assam, India and received his Ph.D. from North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Meghalaya, India. Dr. Verma worked as a DBT Research Associate at Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Silchar, Assam, for two years. He completed Post Doctoral Degree from Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta, USA in 2015. Dr. Verma presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, at Cotton University, Assam, India. He has over 80 peer-reviewed papers in national and international journals to his name. For the development of a molecular mode of action of potent lead molecule, he was awarded ISCA Young Scientist Award in 2013. He is recipient of Talent Search Contest Awards for the year 2019 and 2021 by DBT, Govt. of India organized by Guwahati Biotech Park. Dr. Verma is a recipient of Governor Excellence Award for the year 2022 for his research work in cancer. He has been included in the Editorial Board of several National & International Journals.
