Good Read

The Ghost Hunters of Kurseong
by Shweata Taneja
Review by Rishit
FOR BOOK ADORERS
Rating-10/10

Review:- I was not very into ghosts and stuff and never liked to read or watch anything related to them. But this book has changed my perspective.
It is difficult for a child, who has previously been lost in the magic world built by J.K Rowling and Rick Riordan, to overcome those great books and read something else. This book has done that very well.

Enid Blyton move over...here comes Shweta Taneja !

Absolutely loved the book ! Having grown up on a staple diet of Enid Blyton I often wondered why Indian authors didn't attempt the genre in the same style. Little did I know that among the multiple Indian author was a gem ...waiting to be discovered ! Shweta's book is an absolute delight ! I have read it several times already. The right mix of adventure , paranormal while still retaining a childish charm to it...the book was a wonderful read. Hope to see more from this author.

Fast paced, good read

Very interesting book, set in the beautiful little town of Kurseong. The book transported me to this town. It's a good read for today's young generation who need to go out and do things like these rather than spending time with various gadgets. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this fast paced book

Nostalgia and adventure - beautifully combined in a pacy, debut childrens' novel.

In this endearing debut novel, Shweta ties together memorable characters with classical mystery story telling for children, set in the misty, pine-scented hills of Kurseong and Darjeeling. I read it in one go, reliving the joys of late nights spent following the adventures of the Secret Seven and The Famous Five as a child. "Ghost Hunters" is far more appropriate for today's Indian children, who liberated from colonial hangover, brought up on a diet of "Chhota Bheem" rather than "Mickey and D...

Great story, gives wonderful Kurseong ambience to the reader, nice humour

This book brings me back to the days of children's adventure stories of which i have read several in school. The Kurseong ambience is amazing and so is the humour. I can relate the characters to people i come across every day. Overall, a fun read and congratulations to the author on a great debut.
