Summary of the Book

In this book, Kevin Mitnick writes about his stint as one of the most talented and elusive computer hackers of the 90s. He reveals how he accessed the computers and networks of some of the world’s most secure computers, infiltrating them without leaving a trace. He takes readers through his journey as a hacker, explaining how he sprinted through phone switches and computer systems. He describes his drive to accomplish the impossible which led him to bypass security systems and steal into major organizations. However, the FBI were after the ghost which had begun to attract the attention of the entire world, and soon, they had discovered him. This book is Mitnick’s account of his arrest and the events that brought him the attention of the entire world.

Kevin Mitnick is an American computer security consultant, hacker and writer. He is famous for his image as a hacker, and he was arrested for various computer and communications-related crimes in 1999. He is currently running a security firm called Mitnick Security Consulting, LLC.

William L. Simon is an American writer and screenwriter.
