Gideon's Spies (English, Paperback, Thomas Gordon)
Gideon's Spies: The Secret History Of The Mossad is a revelation that is presented by the author after speaking to a number of Mossad operatives, Mossad being the secret service of Israel.
Summary Of The Book
Gordon Thomas is a Welsh journalist, and he claims in Gideon's Spies: The Secret History Of The Mossad, that the Mossad, Israel’s espionage service, knew long before Kenneth Starr about the relationship between Bill Clinton and his intern Monica Lewinsky. The book states that the Mossad had tapes worth more than thirty hours’ worth of conversation between Clinton and Lewinsky that were suggestive.
Their denials notwithstanding, the book raised a lot of questions, and made a lot of bold statements about the Mossad in general. For example, Gideon's Spies: The Secret History Of The Mossad claims that the Mossad was responsible for the accident that killed Princess Diana. It claims that their driver was pressurized to the breaking point by them. It also says that the Mossad supposedly murdered Robert Maxwell, the publishing tycoon.
What other sensational charges are levelled against the Mossad in Gideon's Spies: The Secret History Of The Mossad? Are these charges explained, or backed up with facts and conclusive proof? What has been the reaction to the bureaucracies around the world to these accusations?. The reaction to this book was aggressively in the negative, both in America and Israel. One American administrative official even went so far as to suggest that booksellers ought to sell the book under the Fiction shelves, and the Israeli Prime Minister’s spokesman called the book “unmitigated drivel”.
