Adolescence is a complicated time in the life of an individual. With so many changes happening to the body and the mind, there is bound to be confusion all around as one tries to come to terms with his or her life. Directed and written by Sonam Nair and starring Riya Vij, Divya Dutta, and Taaha Shah, Gippi is a comedy drama film about a simple and obese 14-year-old girl who finds herself dazed by the problems she faces at the hands of an elitist few in her school and the troubles of a broken home. Will she decide to pick herself up from the pressure of the challenges that she is faced with? Or, will she lie defeated as a failure?
