Summary of the Book

Sam and Astrid are in a strange world. There are no more adults, and no one knows where they have disappeared to. In a second, the world has changed. Kids are left to fend for themselves, and everyone has a separate definition of survival. Some are willing to work together, while others are willing to do anything, including killing, to live. However, Sam and Astrid are looking for answers, but the most mysterious part of their lives is the strange wall that has sprung up around their town. Some kids begin to develop strange abilities, and the world as they know it has morphed forever.
