    • Charles Dickens was one of the most popular English writers of all time. He created some of the world’s most well-known fictional characters and is generally regarded as the greatest novelist of the Victorian period. Born in Portsmouth, England, on 7 February, 1812, Dickens was the second of eight children. He was forced to leave school after his father’s imprisonment, to work at a boot-blacking factory. His early childhood experiences were much like those depicted in his novel—David Copperfield. He felt abandoned and betrayed by the adults who were supposed to take care of him. These sentiments later became a recurring theme in his writings. In 1865, Dickens was involved in a train accident and never fully recovered. On June 9, 1870, Dickens suffered a stroke and, at the age of 58, died at Gad’s Hill Place, his country home in Kent, England, leaving his final novel, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, unfinished.

    Worth the money

The quality of the book is pretty good. And regarding the review of the book, I recommend every person who's got a heart for reading classic stuff this book because it's written in such a beautiful manner. Charles Dickens's writing style is inspiring perhaps.

    A masterpiece

As one can expect, Great Expectations is not the kind of book you should pick up if you plan to merely pass the time on a flight. Instead, this is the book you should read if you want to be astounded by the art that is literature.
A coming-of-age tale told in a way only Dickens could. The best part about the way the book has been written is that even though the world might be different and the situations unknown to the reader, you will surely relate to each character in some way and be surpri...

    Not for Beginners

This book is not suitable for persons who have newly started to read English fiction. I find the sentence formation used in this book is very complicated. It was very hard for me to understand. It is not like chatan bhagat books. I could not read more than two pages. It was written by Charles dickens in 1861. He has used 151 Years old English. I think I don’t have enough knowledge to read this book.

    Excellent

    Book Riview:
Great Expectations. This book needs no introduction. One of the best works of Charles Dickens, this book is about Pip and his life, his thoughts, his imaginations, his likes, his desires.
I had a really good time reading this book. I personally liked the bonding of Joe and Pip a lot. They were more like friends to each other. I guess this bonding is loved by everyone. I completed this book in no time because it was so engaging.

    Delightful--well, it is Dickens'

You might have heard of Great Expectations through elders or were present enough to remember Pip from your school syllabus. Either way you have decided to buy it and see the end of it and find yourselves stuffed with the knowledge of English language; I wouldn't say your are going to get a bomb neatly wrapped and delivered by a boy in blue uniform, but if your are going take a Classic for such pestilential reason, PLEASE don't. Try dictionary.

Coming to this product, I have not purchased it ...

    Simply awesome

Love Dickens' description.be it people or their experiences or the views.
The ending is not my favorite. Yet the story is so enchantingly grasping.
Writing style is 5 out of 5.
And what can I say more!
Its one of Dickens' masterpieces for a reason.
Read it to see for yourself!
