About the Author
"Shashi Tharoor is the prize-winning author of sixteen works of fiction and non-fiction, and a widely published critic, commentator and columnist. He was previously the minister of state in the Government of India for external affairs (2009�2010) and human resource development (2012�2014). He is a member of the Indian National Congress and has served as an official spokesperson for the party from January to October 2014. He is currently serving as Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha.
Tharoor earned his PhD at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at the age of twenty-two and was named �Global Leader of Tomorrow� at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 1998. He was awarded the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, India�s highest honour for Indians living overseas."
