Sunflowers prefer 6 to 8 hours of sunlight to grow well. Sunflower seeds are best sown directly in the soil when the soil temperature ranges between 15-20 °C. Plant the seeds about 1 inch deep in the soil. In case the soil where you are planting the seeds is slightly sandy, it is better to sow the seeds at least 2 inches deep.
