Red Lady Papaya Taiwan F1 Hybrid seeds are imported from Taiwan and are known for their high productive values. The fruit of the Papaya do no rotten up to 15 days after complete ripe. That in turn proves helpful in export of this fruits to any other state or country. • Fruiting – 4.5 months and 8 months to pluck the fruit from the plant. • Production - 40 to 60 kilograms per plant. • Optimum temp – 25 to 30 degrees Celsius. • Do not grow any other crop with papaya.Also do not grow new papaya crop • 1000 to 1100 plants per acre 350 3000 plants per hectare 350 to 400 plants per bigha • Seedling can be raised in beds ,seedling trays or in polybags. • About 15 to 20 cms tall seedlings are choosen for planting in 2 months. • Papaya is planted in spring(Feb – March),monsoon (June –July) and autumn( Oct – Nov) • Distance between each papaya plant must be : Row to Row – 7 feet Plant to Plant – 7 feet • For planting seedling 60*60*60 cm pits are required.Fill them with mixture of soil,manure and neem cake • Each plant require 20 – 25 kgs manure every year • Irrigation in First year 2 to 3 days and in second year 10 – 15 days. • Early ,vigorous,productive and tolerant to papaya ringspot virus. • For cultivation mixture of sand,clay and manure is best. • Papaya roots are very sensitive to water logging or standing water. • Plants begin to bear fruits at 80 cm (31.5”) height • Average 30 fruits per plant in first 15 to 18 months. • Fruit weight about 1.5 to 2 kgs • Fruit is very delicious in taste and fleshy.
