Description

Keeping the eyes shielded from harmful rays is important. It becomes difficult however, when the eyes are constantly exposed to elements that spew out these forms of radiation. Conventional screens as well as LED technology based screens emit harsh lights and radiations that affect the eye. All these emissions cause several eye problems that also affect the brain. Eye irritation, dry eyes and eye muscle fatigue are all symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome. Though it might not be possible for you to completely do away with monitors and display screens, it is possible to minimize the effects of it on your eyes.

Gunnars Glasses are the perfect solution for shielding your eyes from harmful rays and intense lighting. The Gunnar PPK Onyz Mercury Advanced Gaming Eyewear incorporates the proprietary i-AMP technology that is found in all Gunnar lenses. This technology involves isolating and reflecting the harmful rays away from the eye and filtering in only the essential light. Gunnars lenses are curved in such a way that the light enters the eye pre-focused. This means that the eye has very little work to do, making it much easier to focus on mid range images like those on a computer screen.

Polarized lenses have limitations when it comes to viewing things on monitors and computer screens. Certain screens might appear inconsistent or blank when viewed through a polarized lens. This is eliminated in Gunnar as they have special filters and coatings that have the ability to filter out glare and other unwanted wavelengths of light. The yellow tint that is common to almost all of Gunnar’s line of gaming eyewear is chiefly responsible for keeping the images in line with natural looking contrast and clarity when viewed through a screen. Wearing the Gunnar PPK Onyz Mercury Advanced Gaming Eyewear regularly while gaming or just working for long hours in front of a computer will help reduce the strain on the eyes.

The Gunnar PPK Onyz Mercury Advanced Gaming Eyewear has flexible templates and slim profiles for adjusting to your individual face type. The interchangeable sockets also add a certain style statement to your Gunnar eyewear. The silicone nose pads add a level of comfort to the eyewear and the flexible temple supports also come in handy when adjusting for the face width.

Very expensive

Buy this if you have money to burn or if you care a lot about your eyes that you can sacrifice a 4.5k for them. For me it's the latter case. I read stuffs every night on my Nexus 7. But even at minimum brightness, it is so bright it lights up the whole room. After getting used to reading at night with these glasses on, it hurts even more if I try to read without it.

I only use these glass for reading at night and my eyes feel a lot better in the next morning.

Pros:
* Works for me
* You can ...

they suck

as far as i'm concerned, these glasses are pretty bad. I have 20/20 vision and they give me headaches and make my eyes feel strained and make them hurt the next morning. Not to mention they are also really expensive.
