Directed by H. R. Bhargava, Guru Shishyaru is a Kannada comedy film that was produced by Dwarakish. This gripping flick stars the Sandalwood icon, Vishnuvardhan (won 6 Filmfare Awards and a Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in the South Indian leg of the award ceremony), Jayamalini (acted in over 500 Indian movies), Manjula and Dwarakish himself. A remake of the blockbuster Telugu film, Paramanandayya Sishyula Katha, Guru Shishyaru focuses on the relationship shared by the guru (master) and his shishyas (disciples).
