We all are familiar with traffic blocks as we travel by. The main reasons for this are ever increased number of automobiles and unplanned transportation policies. The main cause of traffic block is the four way junction. We need scientifically coordinated planning in these junctions. We depend mainly on traffic light signals for this. This project is a simple demonstration of traffic light. How we could ensure smooth traffic in a four way junction, can be easily understood from this project. Generally traffic light systems have three different colors. Red, yellow and green. Red indicates to stop the vehicle. Yellow indicates that the red signal will be given shortly. Green indicates the permission to drive the vehicle and cross the junction. By properly timed signaling of these three lights, we could ensure block free and accident free junctions. All the lights are assembled to the board. The timing of the light can be adjusted [either can be delayed or make fast] by adjusting the ‘timing’ preset on the board by using a small screw driver. If we accidentally connect the battery in the reverse polarity order, it won’t disturb the circuit, since the circuit has reverse polarity protection. NOTE: NO BATTERIES INCLUDED.
