    Description
From playing a rare instrument, to asking Rajiv Gandhi intimate questions, to practicing dolphin dives, to hanging out of a running train in the middle of the night; to witnessing a world record, to being caught in a flood of sambar, to learning kung-fu with mosquitoes, to becoming the "inventor" of capris, to making magnets, to planning a borewell... Half Pants Full Pants is a collection of real-life stories of growing up in Shimoga. At once an ode to innocence and mischief, this is a collection of effortlessly-told memorable little tales guaranteed to set off a journey back in time. R. Balki, perhaps our generation's best filmmaker and storyteller, touts this treasure-trove of stories as: "After Malgudi Days, I could never imagine that somebody could create another childhood classic for adults to regain their innocence even for a few hours. Suspi's tales would have made R K Narayan smile. Oh! That beautiful Kannadiga gene!",

    A beautiful piece of work

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Anand has captured all the childhood struggles and triumphs so beautifully and in a matter of fact manner. I loved the phrases in Kannada thrown around here and there making it very real. A must read for all especially the teenagers ......hoping they will get a glimpse of how one grows up in small towns with minimalistic living styles and growing up by converting drastic situations into opportunities.
Thank you Anand for raking up a lot of memories

Ganga Snana Thunga Pana Pustakada Ottige Jeevanada Payana :)

Childhood is a universal experience and we all have our share of memorable stories. ‘Half Pants Full Pants’ written by Anand Suspi is a collection of heart warming and rib tickling anecdotes from his childhood days in Shimoga, a major town in the Malnad region of Karnataka which stands out for its simplicity, and this reflects in Suspi’s writing. The connection is transcendental. Often life’s most beautiful memories are easier to remember but difficult to share with everyone and when someone ...

Perfect Title to this down the memory lane pages.

I enjoyed every bit of the 200 odd pages. Every now and then did have to put the book down to travel back in time. True to the authors promise. While reading the book, an incident happened which made me laugh for about 2 hours. I boarded the flight to Delhi from Chennai, and I was reading the story 28 Monkeys. The last man to board was this orthodox middle aged tamil man. He had a red vertical welt on his forehead. Laughter began. Read it to know.
    Great book and highly recommended.
