The waste generated from medical activities represents a real problem of living nature and the human world. Improper management of waste generated in healthcare facilities causes a direct impact on the community, the healthcare workers and on the environment—every day. This book has been written for healthcare workers, including doctors in general, and postgraduates of hospital/health administration and hospital managers in particular. Emphasis has been laid on biomedical waste from the point of origin to its disposal. A number of books have been written on this subject. However, in this book, I have tried to approach the topic of waste management from the national and international perspectives of a few representative countries—to some extent. I hope this book serves its purpose well. I am aware of the fact that despite best efforts, it is possible that there might be some errors in the book. I will be highly grateful if I am made aware of them on my mail yourauthor19@gmail.com. Further, I welcome all constructive criticism which will help me in future editions of this book.
