Nikon DSLR owners beware

This is a fast lense for sure. However, it has MAJOR focusing problems even under moderate lighting. I tried mounting it on my D5100 as well as my older D70s. Even the cheap kit lense does a marvelous job of focusing as compared to this one.

If you are the type who doesnt mind getting into manual focus mode then go for it and enjoy the image quality. However, if you like the autofocus, please think twice.

Can't get any better...

I was a bit hesitant seeing a few reviews which said focusing problem in low light. But I didn't get any problem with my first piece. Really happy with the performance.I have been using it with my Nikon D7000. Its just awesome. even at 75mm and f/2.8 the pictures are crystal clear and sharp as razor. Jus use a Nisi 67mm UV filter to get even better performance and protection. I am really satisfied. Just a bit down with the packaging of flipkart. ATleast it should have been a more rugged keepi...

Budget Lens! After all you get what you pay for.

I have been using the lens for the last 10 days. In good light conditions, the lens has images comparable to my 50mm 1.4 , but in low light conditions, it becomes difficult for handheld shots. For handheld shots either the ISO has to be bumped up or external flash has to be used. It definately provides the flexibility for shooting indoors as the lens has a good zoom range. I am still trying to find out if the lens has any autofocus problems. The upcoming days will confirm.
