HCL ME Tablet U1

So before buying HCL ME U1, I was wondering whether to buy ME U1 or Micromax Funbook.

Let me tell you one thing guys.. ME U1 Tab is awesome & definitely worth a buy ! And if you are wondering how to install apps not available in Me Apps because you can't access Google Play, please don't worry !

I bought this from a store in Mumbai. I was in a trip to Mumbai and bought it from there since the price at that time was higher in other places. The 2nd day its display died. I took it to the HCL Care, Kochi(I am from Kochi) and they said that(after 2-3 days) the case is DOA(Dead On Arrival). Actually it is effectively a wifi tab...that is its capabilities can be used well only on a wifi connection..also the fact that it is not a calling tab I.e. no sim can be placed in it, therefore Internet pack can't be employed for Internet. Also it is although OK OK to use but also the fact that it is a little less smooth (but still workable) than other tabs which may even have better features like calling etc.

Device is awesome. No big trouble. Here is the detail of product.

This product doesn't charged through USB so you need to have 2 thing everytime USB & charger.

This device never shut down from the menu. I hardly remember if anytime it's goes shutdown. Everytime I sit with this device I also have a GEL pen to reset it first.

This device doesn't allow you to run Google now (incompatible) & google voice record (incompatible). None of microphone app can be run on the device.

It is difficult to install playstore on ME U1. But there is a way out.There is another simpler way. What we want is applications available on Google play store. For that ,download the application on any android phone. Transfer this downloaded file to a PC. Then connect your Tablet to the PC and transfer the File to your Tablet. Now run the application and install it . It works. I tried various ways of installing Play Store then found this is a simpler solution.
