This book is good for starters with 0 programming experience but if you are having programming background then please don't go for this book.If you have programming experience then reading this book will irritate you.But service of flipkart was good.I'm not criticizing flipkart but the book(Head first Java).

Language of the book is more informal and it also quick tip for remembering item. the visual just add to the learning process. thus is a great book for absolute beginners

It was 2011,I was about to buy a book on digital circuits from a book store.My friend advised me to buy it from flipkart as the price was cheaper than in book stores and you don't need to go there physically.

I previously brought some game CD's ( we don't have a choice.do we? Internet speed sucks and I don't need to mention the gruesome local stores) .

I was a little bit reluctant to buy books online ( it was 2011 :P...

Very Good book.
It explains Java technically & application wise.
We will get to know why is it used, & where is it used.
Clear elaboration of all concepts
There may be comic type pictures here & there, you can discard it if you don't want to read those 'java jokes'. (Some people find it annoying)

The concepts are very very clear. Extremely helpful.

Cons:
Paper quality can be improved.
Printing Quality also can be improved

If you hate reading dry technical books but want to learn java, this is the book for you. The book can be considered as a playful teacher who keeps you not bored for a long time. The authors discuss the concept in very natural way. Examples and exercises are really good. Every chapter contains some stimulating questions and answers.

Great non tradition book with good condition. One of the best way to learn with cartoons and casual ways.

This is a good book for beginners to intermediate java programmers. Covers a lot of topic, but this book follows java edition 5, which is too old. Java has changed a lot since then. So I would not recommend this book to anyone.
