A good Starter to Java
Ordered this book for a new batch of interns joining my organzation and this did not disappoint. A good way to begin on Java (and what helps is that if you hate readinng boring book, this books by choice of humorous examples keeps the reader engaged).

Excellent for beginner to visualize the things
It's excellent for a beginner to learn what is Java and the basics. I don't recommend it for someone who is looking for nitty gritty of the language and more deeper understanding of the language. I started with this book.

The best book for Java beginners, period.
This book covers java in a way no book has ever covered. They use diagrams, side notes and illustrations more than the text to make java extremely interesting. They also make use of very good real life examples while practicing programming.
