I ordered this book to get a taste of jquery and since head first are always good for short introduction , this book seems to be falling into the same category, short and concise in terms of theory and all the pictures made it a great read, although if you know any jquery then the pace will bore you however this is for beginners and would be the fastest book for them to learn jquery, recommended, although shop around for advanced concepts or jsut head over for stackoverflow.

This book explains everthing in very detailed form but this book lacks in some key areas like all examples do not show comparision with javascript which is necessary when you learn jQuery...second one is what do functions of jquery do internally is not shown...

All in all good book to understand but i must recommend you to do programming along with the reading then only you will understand it better..

if you want to learn jquery then its the best book with real time examples. i recommend this to all those who want to learn jquery. the way the contents are explained are really awesome.
