If there ever was a Noble for explaining things (why isn't there one?) the guys on the Head First team would deserve it!

I initially ordered the Head First Data Analysis to help me on my job but soon realised that understanding statistics is very important. Looking at a few prescribed textbooks for statistics at the undergraduate level did not inspire me exactly.

But having used other books in the HF series( HTML, XHTM and CSS; Java) I was sure they wouldn't let me down here.

I am always a great fan of head-first series. So, people, like me, who read at least one book from head-first series will understand what to expect.

To serious mathematicians - please don't expect too much depth in statistics here. I would say this book targets the beginners or elementary concepts only.

All in all, a nice, fun reading for people who want to learn basics of statistics without getting intimidated by the subject.

Finally, kudos to Flipkart for timely delivery !

This is a great book to understand stats and recollect what we've learned. I enjoyed reading through this. Great content which was well explained.

the one negative was that print of the this book looked like it was a fake. I didn't look original.

I have so many statistics books on my shelf, that it is not funny. Yet, I have never been able to finish a single book.

Reason - I don't understand these books, plain and simple. Not to mention, they are "yawn-inducing" boring.

Thankfully, I managed to lay my hands on this book. In less than 4 days, I've finished a quarter of the book and I have a "new-found" confidence. It's a must-have for anyone who feels intimidated or bored of statistics!!! (You will soon see why)

The book is great ! I am rating this product extremely bad because of the vendor !!!

The book was tattered , extremely old and stained , some pages were torn too.

While the book is very good for basics of statistics, the product quality is too poor. I first got a soiled book and requested for replacement. The replacement was better ( only better) but today I see that the order of the pages is not proper. Please don't buy it here.

This is a good reference for anyone to start with. Simple and relevant examples, good visuals as always.

the book is realy good for beginners , who wants to veture into the meaningful statistics. this addresses the applied vertion which critically analyse of the data into usefull information.there is also need of addressing the last chapter which shows the limitation of the book, atleast the elaboration.
