It is HGST & not True Hitachi
i bought this product after seeing the product review. However noted that
1. The product is not a good build - plastic case - not having hard case like others
2. it is not 7200rpm. it is normal 5400 rpm only.
3. more over it is not the Hitachi brand that we are familiar - it belongs to earst while hitachi global storage technology. it was brought by Western Digital.
4. for same price we can buy good build Hard disks like WD passport or Sandisk

Excellent Perfomance
I had ordered this from Flipkart and it reached within 2 days.. Thanks to Flipkart.
This HDD is awesome with with its perfomance.
I have an USB 3.0 Ready Laptop but It gives me 73 MBps through USB 3.0 and 35 MBps through Usb 2.0.

Fast n Useful
I use it as a media to my ASUS O Play Mini Media player.
Its working perfect and very fast.
My purpose is solved and my son is happy.
Flipkart delivery is good as usual and the rates here are much better than lamington road, Grant Road, Mumbai (I was frequent buyer from the place but online prices are much better than the market places now a days).

We picked up two of these hdds. Note that since Flipkart is "rationing" out these hard drives, we could only buy one at a time. :D
But, Flipkart delivery was good as usual.
The HDD comes packed in a good packaging from HGST itself. Add flipkarts bubble wrap over it and you have a solid hdd delivery.
The drive itself comes formatted for NTFS and that makes it immediately useful. I don't believe there was any "auto-run" software installed, either drivers or backup software, etc, on the drive...

Cheap and reliable
I received it today from flipkart.
The package was very light that I thought I might have received an empty package.
The HDD is simple and very light.
For the price of Rs. 3999 for 1TB, it is very good!
I am happy with the product and the shipping.
The speed showed just 13mbps!
I am not very sure about the real speed but it was a slow transfer from laptop to HDD.
It didn't heat up though.
Even though it is light and has matte finishing, it doesn't feel so cheap.

In addition to the regular praise for flipkart for superb delivery time and safest packing, I would like to say something to hose who doubt the product as Hitachi is pricing its product much below than others of similar category.

Awesome.
This is way more faster and super silent while processing.. Fits easily in pocket. Moreover its a Western Digital Product. Looks good with premium finish. I would recommend this to others too..
