SEED RATE:
1 Kg seeds use for 3-4 guntha ( 3000-4000 squre feet)
for 1 acre 10-12 kgs seeds are required
SEED TRATMENT:
Hot water treatment before sowing to get better germination, seeds must be treated in hot water at 80 c for 10 minutes
Then seeds should be soaked in normal water over night (12 hours) seed should be shade dry before sowing for 1 hour.
1) Plough 2-3 times with an iron plough to obtain good tilth, Apply and spread 12-15 tonn/acre of FYM or compost, Form ridges and furrows 50 cm apart using ridger and irrigation cgannels across furrows. 2) Apply NPK fertilizer as per soil test recommendations as far as possible. If the soil the soil testing is not done, follow the blanket recommendations of 25;40;20 kg NPK/ha Apply full dose of NPK basally before sowing
