जानकारी
Everyone Loves Kampharia Lily. With Large, Showy Blooms, Lilies Add Striking Elegance To The Yard And Garden From Early To Mid-Summer. Grown From Bulbs, Lilies Are Perennial Flowers That Will Return Year After Year And Require Minimal Care, Provided That You Plant Them In The Right Place. Bulbs Planted In The Autumn Will Have Well Established Roots In The Spring. The Bulbs Benefit From A Winter Chill To Produce Big Blooms. We Do Advise Planting In Spring In Areas With Particularly Harsh Winters. Container-Grown Lily Plants Can Be Planted Anytime During The Summer. Lilies Need Lots Of Sun. For Dependable Blooms, Lilies Need 6 To 8 Hours Of Direct Sunlight A Day. If It’s Too Shady, The Stems Will Attempt To Lean Towards The Sun Or Get Spindly And Fall Over. Lilies Are Best Suited For Zones 3 To 8. They Do Not Thrive In Zones 9 And 10 Without A Period Of Refrigeration; They Need A Cold, Dormant Period. Most Of The Popular Varieties Prefer Acidic To Neutral Soil, But Some Are Lime-Tolerant Or Prefer Alkaline Soils Loosen The Soil To A Depth Of 12 To 15 Inches. The Deep Planting Encourages The Developing Stem To Send Out Roots To Help Stabilize The Plant And Perhaps Eliminate The Need For Staking. Also, Deep Planting Keeps Lily Bulbs Cool When Temperatures Soar. Enrich The Soil With Leaf Mold Or Well-Rotted Organic Matter To Encourage Good Drainage. Plant The Bulbs 3 Times As Deep As The Height Of The Bulb And Set The Bulb In The Hole Pointy Side Up. Fill The Hole With Soil And Tamp Gently.

Sowing Method
Choose a location where the soil drains well. Peat moss, compost, ground bark or decomposed manure all work well and are widely available. In very sunny, hot areas light shade is also fine. After planting, water your plant generously to settle the soil around the bulbs. Roots and top growth will form within a few weeks.

Care Instructions
Keep the soil consistently moist before and during the period of bloom that occurs in late summer. Enrich poor soil with compost and organic amendments to increase drainage and texture for the best show of kaempheria flowers. This is highly fragrant flower Bulb.
Other Features
It is grown as much for its medicinal properties as its highly ornamental flowers and foliage. It is the flowers that appear first, growing directly from the rhizomes out of the bare soil. New leaves start growing in mid summer from the small dormant rhizomes. Exquisitely beautiful, the purple and white flowers, resemble large ornate butterflies and are borne one or two at a time, each flower lasting several days, with more following on in succession over a period of weeks in summers. Flowers are very fragrant. When flowering is finished the foliage emerges. And what interesting foliage it is! Lanceolate-oblong in shape, the leaves are a mid-green colour on the outer edges patterned with silver markings and an intricate darker green set of markings down the central midrib. The underside is a deep purplish-red. The plants becomes dormant in winter - leaves die down in late autumn and rhizomes remain underground through winter.
