Dry Dusting: Before wet cleaning, it's a good idea to start by dry dusting to remove loose dirt and debris. Attach a dry mop pad or dusting cloth to the 18-inch mop head. Sweeping: Use the dry mop to sweep the floor in a controlled manner, ensuring you cover the entire surface. The wide mop head will help you cover more area with each pass. Dusting Corners and Edges: Pay attention to corners and edges where dust tends to accumulate. You may need to use the edges of the mop head or a smaller attachment to reach tight spaces. Cleaning: Wet Cleaning: To clean the floor, switch to a wet mop pad or attach a microfiber cloth that you can dampen with your preferred floor cleaner or a mixture of water and a suitable cleaning solution. Wringing the Mop: If your mop has a wringing mechanism, make sure to wring out excess liquid to avoid over-saturating the floor. Mopping Technique: Start mopping from one end of the room and work your way towards the exit to avoid stepping on the freshly cleaned area. Use an "S" or figure-eight pattern to ensure even coverage. Changing Pads: Depending on the size of the area and the level of dirt, you may need to change the mop pad or cloth as it gets dirty. This prevents spreading dirt around.
