Author Info | - Mr. Pratik Shelke is a freshly graduated mechanical engineer, working as a Mentor at Haygot Education Pvt. Ltd. He is presently living in Pune with Emma Watson, some more imaginary characters, and seemingly impossible dreams. He says this novel was never something he ‘wanted’ to write, but ‘had’ to.
During his college days, apart from bunking lectures, daydreaming, and asking unnecessary Thermodynamics doubts to his crush, Pratik liked to be a cicerone through his personal experiences. Cicerone, ah! He learned this word today itself and applied it here to impress his readers. It just means he was and is, um… like that of Shah Rukh Khan from the movie Dear Zindagi. Yes, though a bit uglier. His Alias (and Varuns) include school students, JEE and NEET aspirants, engineering undergrads, serious writers, failures, lovers, startup enthusiasts, and ‘square pegs in round holes.’
Pratik's biggest achievement was when the college that had turned him down a few years ago invited him later to deliver a talk at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. The college was none other than IIT-KGP! Similarly, the huge amount of love that the paperback version of this book received, got him invited for interviews at Vokal, Reliance BIG FM, Aakashwani, and for talks at the Impressions COEP, Podar International, Oxford International, NPS, and more.
Pratik took 4 months to write this book, 4 months to revise, edit, and rewrite. And then this book took around 3.5 years to get published! Pratik says what kept him going despite the immense struggle, was a strong reason behind writing this novel which you'll discover only in the last chapter.
Pratik dedicates this book to everyone who gave their best and yet couldn't achieve their dream. As well as to those, who at some point in their life, loved someone truly...
