    This tomato has supreme shock value as well as a good sweet tomato flavour! The unripe green fruit becomes purple, brought on by sunlight, and will eventually turn almost a true black, caused by anthocyanins, antioxidants found in blueberries. This excellent sweet tomato, apparently a cross between Indigo Rose and a red cherry tomato, is early-ripening. It also shows disease tolerance and has a really good shelf-life. Black and purple fruits are typical for the cherry tomato "Indigo Rose". A new and exceptional plant with long herringbone trusses of identical-sized, chocolate-coloured, sweet and juicy fruits which simply refuse to split. A tomato with a high recognition value! The fruits (about 15 - 20 g) convince with an aromatic taste. "Indigo Rose" needs a planting rod. Plant height approx. 1.20 m - 1.50 m.

    • PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS:Sow seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the tether end of the winter-spring.Two weeks before transplanting seedlings outdoors, till the soil to about 1 foot and mix in aged manure, compost, or fertilizer. If a tomato falls off before they are ripe, place them in a paper bag with the stalk up and store them in a cool, gloomy spot. Never place tomatoes on a sunny windowsill to ripen; they may rot before they are ripe!The perfect tomato for picking will be solid and very cherry in gloss, regardless of size, with maybe some yellow remaining around the shank.
